Description
Servo Software is seeking an experienced project manager who is unquestionably fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese. This person must possess a relentless attention to detail, be comfortable with MBS (management by Skype) and have proven success managing software projects in an agile development environment.
The candidate will be based in Eastern China (preferably in our Hangzhou office). You will manage a team of engineers, throughout Eastern China, in the ongoing development and deployment of a carrier-grade client-server mobile search solution. The position reports directly to the Head of Engineering, who is based in California, U.S. and the primary customer will be the company’s VP of Product Management.
The Group Project Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day project management activities, including interaction with the development team, preparation and maintenance of schedules, and communication of all project management related information within the company. Expect to manage two or three related projects simultaneously.
The candidate must be trustworthy, reliable and determined to ship solutions, not just to manage them.

Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing 10-20 person projects in a distributed work environment (meaning people working in different offices in China) using agile development methodologies.
• Previous experience reporting to a manager outside of China.
• Proven ability to manage projects from inception through first customer shipment.
• The candidate must read, speak and write both Mandarin Chinese and English with high degrees of proficiency. The candidate must be able to communicate about technical topics with ease.
• A university degree, preferably in computer science or business/management, but degrees in other fields are acceptable.

• Experience managing one or more of the following types of projects is a plus:
◦ mobile software development for platforms such as Blackberry/RIM, Android, iPhone, Windows Mobile or Symbian
◦ large scale client/server or multi-tier systems
◦ search-engine systems

Software Skills
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project (or similar).
• Experience with bug reporting platforms such as Jira, and project management systems such as Confluence or similar.
