Servo Secures $5M in Series B Funding to Grow Business

SAN MATEO, CA- December 15, 2009 - Servo Software, Inc. today announced that it has raised $5.25 million in Series B funding to grow its installed base and launch its service backend to consumers.
Servo’s Device Search helps users to easily find and discover content and information on their mobile handsets. It is currently deployed on millions of Android-powered devices, including the Ophone by China Mobile, delivered by LG and Motorola, as well as smartphones from HTC, Dell, Lenovo, and Huawei, including Dell’s first smartphone Mini 3 and Europe’s bestseller T-Mobile Pulse.
The round was co-led by Series A investor Asset Management together with a group of distinguished investors from the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial community, with additional investment coming from strategic investor Synclore Corporation of Japan.

Synclore is Japan’s leading provider of phonebook backup and value added solutions, working with major local operators and providing services to more than 13 million consumers in the world’s most advanced mobile market. As part of the funding round, Servo and Synclore will cross-sell each other’s products and Masanari Arai, CEO of Synclore, will join the Servo Software Board of Directors.
